“For My yoke is easy and My burden is light” (Matthew 11:30, NKJV). This verse follows Jesus’ invitation to come to Him for rest, and it explains why that rest is actually possible: the load He offers isn’t heavy the way ours often is.
Easy here doesn’t mean effortless or without responsibility. It means well-fitted, designed for you specifically, rather than a burden that was never meant to be carried the way you’re currently carrying it.
This is worth comparing honestly against whatever you’re carrying right now. Does it feel like His easy yoke, or like a weight you were never meant to bear alone?
What would it look like today to actually trade the burden you’re carrying for the lighter one Jesus is offering instead?
