Do Not Withhold Good | Proverbs 3:27

“Do not withhold good from those to whom it is due, When it is in the power of your hand to do so” (Proverbs 3:27, NKJV). This verse targets a specific kind of failure, not doing evil, but withholding good that was genuinely within your power to give.

It’s easy to focus moral attention on avoiding wrongdoing while overlooking the good that’s sitting undone simply because we haven’t gotten around to it.

In the power of your hand is a helpful filter. Not every need in the world is yours to meet, but the ones actually within your power deserve action, not delay.

What good is currently within the power of your hand that you’ve been withholding, whether from busyness, hesitation, or simple neglect?
