“Behold, how good and how pleasant it is For brethren to dwell together in unity!” (Psalm 133:1, NKJV). Behold is an invitation to actually stop and notice something, not rush past it. Unity, this verse says, is worth pausing over.
Good and pleasant are both used here, not just morally right, but genuinely enjoyable. Unity isn’t only a duty to endure, it’s a blessing to actually experience.
That’s worth remembering in relationships where unity feels more like hard work than pleasure. The pleasantness this verse describes is often on the other side of real effort.
