“According to as His divine power has given to us all things that pertain to life and godliness” (2 Peter 1:3, NKJV). All things is a comprehensive claim. Not some things, not the basics, but everything actually needed for life and godliness.
That’s worth sitting with if you’ve been feeling under-resourced for the life you’re trying to live. This verse claims the provision has already been given.
This isn’t a promise of ease. It’s a promise of sufficiency, that what’s needed for genuine godliness isn’t missing, even if it doesn’t always feel that way.
