The Gift of God | Ecclesiastes 5:19

“As for every man to whom God has given riches and wealth, and given him power to eat of it… this is the gift of God” (Ecclesiastes 5:19, NKJV). Notice the double gift described here. Not just riches, but the power to actually enjoy them.

That’s a distinction worth noticing. Plenty of people accumulate wealth without ever developing the capacity to genuinely enjoy or rest in it.

This verse treats that capacity, actual enjoyment and rest, as its own separate gift from God, not something automatically included with resources themselves.

Do you have both gifts this verse describes, the resources and the actual power to enjoy them, or is one present without the other?
