She Shall Be Praised | Proverbs 31:30

“Charm is deceitful and beauty is passing, But a woman who fears the LORD, she shall be praised” (Proverbs 31:30, NKJV). Charm and beauty aren’t condemned here outright, they’re simply named as temporary and, at times, misleading.

What lasts, according to this verse, is something deeper: a genuine reverence for God that shapes character over time.

This is a good corrective in a culture that tends to praise appearance louder than character. Proverbs points the praise somewhere more durable.

What’s being cultivated in you that will still be worth praising long after charm and appearance have naturally faded?
