“For lo, the winter is past, The rain is over and gone. The flowers appear on the earth” (Song of Solomon 2:11-12, NKJV). This verse describes a season actually changing, not wished for, but genuinely arrived.
Winter and rain are real, not dismissed as unimportant. But they’re described here as past, over and gone, giving way to new growth.
This is worth holding onto in a genuinely hard season, not as denial that winter is real, but as hope that it isn’t permanent.
What winter season in your own life are you hoping to see genuinely pass, the way this verse describes, giving way to new growth?
