“For the LORD is good; His mercy is everlasting, And His truth endures to all generations” (Psalm 100:5, NKJV). Three claims stack up here, God’s goodness, His everlasting mercy, and His enduring truth, each one a foundation for the joyful praise called for earlier in this psalm.
Everlasting and to all generations both point past any single circumstance or season. These aren’t qualities that might run out depending on how things go.
This is worth returning to whenever circumstances feel like they’re calling God’s character into question. His goodness, mercy, and truth aren’t contingent on your current situation.
Which of these three, God’s goodness, His everlasting mercy, or His enduring truth, do you most need to be reminded of today?
