“The LORD is near to all who call upon Him, To all who call upon Him in truth” (Psalm 145:18, NKJV). Nearness here isn’t reserved for the especially devoted or the spiritually advanced. It’s promised to all who call, in truth.
In truth is worth noticing. Not a performed or polished prayer, but an honest one, whatever that honesty actually sounds like.
This is a fitting verse to close a month on: a reminder that access to God’s nearness was never about having the right words, just genuine ones.
As April closes, what would it look like to call on Him today in truth, rather than in whatever polished version feels more presentable?
