Through the Valley | Psalm 23:4

“Yea, though I walk through the valley of the shadow of death, I will fear no evil; For You are with me” (Psalm 23:4, NKJV). This verse doesn’t promise an escape from the valley. It promises a presence within it.

Fear no evil isn’t the same as feeling no fear at all. It’s a settled trust that outlasts the fear, rooted specifically in the reason given: for You are with me.

The valley in this verse isn’t minimized or explained away. It’s named directly, shadow of death and all, while still holding onto the presence that walks through it alongside us.

Whatever valley you’re currently walking through, this verse doesn’t ask you to pretend it isn’t dark. It simply reminds you who’s walking through it with you.
