“Therefore I say to you, whatever things you ask when you pray, believe that you receive them, and you will have them” (Mark 11:24, NKJV). This verse, like similar ones elsewhere, describes genuine faith, not a formula for guaranteed outcomes regardless of what’s asked.
Believing here means genuine trust in God’s character and capacity, not certainty about a specific outcome no matter what it is.
This is worth examining honestly in your own prayer life. Do you pray with genuine trust, or with routine words that don’t actually expect much?
