“He who heeds the word wisely will find good, And whoever trusts in the LORD, happy is he” (Proverbs 16:20, NKJV). Heeding wisely suggests more than passive hearing. It’s active reception, taking the word seriously enough to actually apply it.
That’s paired here with trust in the Lord, two things that reinforce each other, wisdom heeded and trust extended, both leading toward genuine good and happiness.
This is worth checking against how much of the word you’ve actually heard lately has been heeded wisely, versus simply passing through without real application.
What wisdom have you heard recently that you’ve been meaning to actually heed, rather than just acknowledging and moving past?
