Worship often gets confined to Sunday mornings, a single hour set apart from an otherwise ordinary week. Here are three ways to turn everyday routines into genuine worship too.
1. Turn your commute into a time of prayer
Instead of filling drive time with distraction alone, use part of it to pray specifically for people and situations on your mind. An ordinary commute becomes a moving prayer room.
2. Offer your work as worship, not just a paycheck
Whatever your job actually involves, approach it as offered to God, not just to an employer. Colossians 3:23 calls us to work heartily as to the Lord, not merely as to people.
3. Let mealtime become a moment of genuine gratitude
Instead of a rushed, routine blessing, pause to actually notice and give thanks for something specific about the meal or the people sharing it. A brief pause of real gratitude turns routine into worship.
None of these require adding anything new to your schedule, just noticing God in what’s already there, and offering it back to Him as worship.
