“Wisdom is the principal thing; Therefore get wisdom” (Proverbs 4:7, NKJV). Principal means primary, first in importance. This verse doesn’t rank wisdom as one good pursuit among many equals.
Get wisdom is an active command, not a passive hope that wisdom will simply accumulate over time without effort.
This is worth checking against your own actual priorities. Is wisdom something you’re actively pursuing, or something you’re vaguely hoping to acquire eventually?
What would actively getting wisdom look like for you this week, rather than just hoping it accumulates on its own?
