“If you faint in the day of adversity, Your strength is small” (Proverbs 24:10, NKJV). This is a blunt diagnostic. Adversity doesn’t create weakness, it reveals how much strength was actually there to begin with.
That’s worth sitting with rather than dismissing defensively. Fainting under pressure isn’t a moral failure in the moment so much as a sign of where preparation was thin beforehand.
This isn’t meant to shame anyone currently struggling. It’s meant to point toward the ongoing work of building real strength, in seasons of ease, that will actually hold in seasons of adversity.
What’s one way you could build real strength today, in an easier season, that would actually hold up the next time adversity arrives?
