“I love the LORD, because He has heard My voice and my supplications” (Psalm 116:1, NKJV). This love isn’t abstract or theoretical. It’s rooted in a specific experience: being heard, in real supplication, by God.
There’s something worth noticing in that order. The psalmist doesn’t love God in a vacuum. His love grows directly out of a felt, personal experience of being listened to.
