Forget Not His Benefits | Psalm 103:2-3

“Bless the LORD, O my soul, And forget not all His benefits: Who forgives all your iniquities, Who heals all your diseases” (Psalm 103:2-3, NKJV). This verse assumes something true about human memory: we forget good things faster than we’d like to admit.

David isn’t just praising God here, he’s giving himself a command. Forget not. As though he knows his own soul is prone to letting gratitude slip once the moment of relief has passed.

Forgiveness and healing get named specifically. Not vague blessings, but the exact kind of benefit that’s easy to be grateful for in the moment and easy to forget once the crisis passes.

A simple practice worth trying today: name one specific thing God has done for you that you’ve quietly stopped being grateful for. Bless Him for it again.
