“God is our refuge and strength, a very present help in trouble.” (Psalm 46:1, NKJV)
Trouble has a way of showing up uninvited. A hard diagnosis, a strained relationship, a season where nothing seems to go right. In those moments, it’s easy to feel like you have to hold everything together on your own.
This verse offers something different. It doesn’t promise an absence of trouble. It promises a refuge in the middle of it. Not a distant God who watches from far away, but one who is present, right when you need Him most.
Whatever you’re carrying today, you don’t have to carry it alone. We’d encourage you to sit with this verse, read the fuller passage in Psalm 46, and see what it stirs in you.
