“You visit the earth and water it, You greatly enrich it… You crown the year with Your goodness, And Your paths drip with abundance” (Psalm 65:9-11, NKJV). As the harvest season settles in, this verse pictures God’s provision across an entire year, not just a single moment.
Crown the year is a fitting image for late October, a season that often visibly displays the fruit of an entire year’s provision, in fields, orchards, and gardens.
Drip with abundance suggests overflow, not scarcity carefully rationed, but genuine abundance flowing generously.
As this month closes and the harvest season deepens, what evidence of God’s provision across this past year are you actually pausing to notice and give thanks for?
