“My grace is sufficient for you, for My strength is made perfect in weakness” (2 Corinthians 12:9, NKJV). Paul received this answer after repeatedly asking God to remove a specific, painful weakness. The answer wasn’t removal, it was reframing.
Made perfect in weakness runs directly against our instinct to hide or overcome every weakness as quickly as possible.
This verse suggests something different: weakness isn’t just tolerated by God, it’s the very context where His strength becomes most visible.
What weakness have you been trying hard to hide or overcome on your own, that this verse invites you to bring honestly to God instead, trusting His strength to be made perfect there?
