“Behold, I stand at the door and knock. If anyone hears My voice and opens the door, I will come in to him” (Revelation 3:20, NKJV). Jesus is pictured knocking, not breaking the door down. The invitation requires an actual response, hearing and opening.
That’s worth noticing about how God tends to work. Real relationship isn’t forced. It’s offered, patiently, waiting for a genuine response.
This verse was originally addressed to a church that had grown lukewarm, Jesus knocking even on a door that should have already been open to Him.
Is there a door in your own life where you’ve heard the knocking but haven’t yet actually opened it?
