“This Book of the Law shall not depart from your mouth, but you shall meditate in it day and night” (Joshua 1:8, NKJV). Day and night rules out occasional, convenient engagement. This is continual, ongoing meditation, not a once-a-week practice.
That kind of saturation shapes a person differently than occasional reading. It’s the difference between visiting a place and actually living there.
This is worth checking honestly. Does Scripture depart from your mouth for days at a time, or is it something you’re actually meditating on continually?
What would day and night meditation on God’s word actually look like in the rhythm of your current week?
