“Praise is awaiting You, O God, in Zion; And to You the vow shall be performed” (Psalm 65:1, NKJV). Praise here is described as already waiting, gathering before it’s even spoken, as though it’s overdue rather than optional.
That’s a different picture than praise as something we have to manufacture from nothing. This verse suggests praise is already accumulating, simply waiting for someone to actually offer it.
The vow shall be performed pairs praise with follow-through, not just words spoken once, but promises actually kept over time.
What praise has been quietly waiting in you that you haven’t yet spoken, and what vow have you made that still needs to be performed?
