“The LORD will perfect that which concerns me; Your mercy, O LORD, endures forever” (Psalm 138:8, NKJV). Perfect here means bring to completion, not that everything currently feels perfect, but that God is actively finishing what concerns you.
That’s a different posture than anxious self-management, trying to perfect every concern through your own effort alone.
The reason given, His mercy endures forever, grounds this confidence in something unchanging rather than in circumstances that shift constantly.
What concern are you currently trying to perfect through your own strength that this verse invites you to entrust to God instead?
